This ain’t your grandma’s sandwich – it’s a rebel stack, loaded with cotto ham, salami milano, cheddar, mozzarella, and a gang of sun-blush tomatoes, all held together by the soft and spongy embrace of Sicilian bread.

Why “Muffaletta”, you ask? Well, in Italian, it means soft and spongy, and trust us, it lives up to its name.

But we didn’t stop there; we kicked it up a notch with aioli and a sundried tomato tapenade, because why settle for the ordinary?

Feeling adventurous? Here’s the lowdown on crafting your own Muffaletta masterpiece:

 

1 Ciabatta roll

90g Cotto ham

62g Mozzarella

40g Sliced roasted peppers

30g Salami Milano

30 Sliced Cheddar

30g Sunblush or Sundried Tomatoes

25g Aioli

10g Tapenade

  1. Slice your ciabatta in half.
  2. Add all the aioli on the base.
  3. Layer up how you would like, but we suggest, ham, salami, cheddar, mozzarella, tomatoes and then pepper.
  4. Finish with the tapenade, slice and enjoy!
