Tackling food waste
Food poverty is a huge and growing problem, with almost 4 million children in the UK living in households that struggle to afford to buy enough fruit, vegetables, fish and other healthy foods. That’s where The Felix Project comes in. As London’s biggest food redestribution charity, they rescue good, surplus food from the food industry that cannot be sold and would otherwise go to waste and deliver it to hundreds of food banks, charities, primary schools and holiday programmes in London.
Coco cares
We are proud to have a long-standing partnership with The Felix Project. Here is how we support them through a year-round partnership:
- Every year, at Christmas, we donate a percentage of every festive product sold across all our sites
- In the summer, we donate a percentage of every DASH can sold in all our stores
- We plan volunteering days for all Coco di Mama employees
