Every little helps

Climate change can be overwhelming, and even though real solutions require action on a global scale, there are small, everyday choices we can all make to lessen our impact on the environment.

What we eat accounts for 10-30% of a household’s carbon footprint. So it is now more important than ever for everyone to start thinking about how we can make a difference and how to make more sustainable choices in our day-to-day lives.

Our mission is to make it easier for you to make a difference – by providing lower carbon options with easy to understand labelling.

Coco cares

At Coco di Mama, we want to help everyone make informed planet-friendly choices.

We have partnered with Food Steps to get into the full lifecycle assessment of our recipes and help you make informed choices about your next meal.

You can now filter our menu and select dishes that have a very low or low carbon impact. We’re very proud that 60% of our menu choices are already Low or Very Low.

How is the carbon impact calculated?

Our foodie gods are constantly looking to create more sustainable and planet-friendly recipes, and now we have a powerful tool to tell us what carbon impact a dish will have before it even launches.

To begin on our journey of carbon labelling, we’re going to share the full farm-to-fork journey of two Coco classics – our Lentil Ragu pasta dish, and our Sassy Salmon Fit Bowl.

Click on the items to see their full carbon “food story” and why they are LOW and VERY LOW.

We wanted to ensure all our data is transparent and accurate, so we’ve partnered with the industry leaders to help us with this. It’s already been a nine-month journey to ensure we’re reporting accurately on all aspects of our supply chain, but it’s worth the effort.

To find out exactly how we calculate the full lifecycle assessment carbon footprint of our dishes, please see our more detailed guide and FAQ section here.
