We’re proud to be in a two-year partnership with Well Grounded, a social enterprise that helps people facing barriers to employment kickstart meaningful careers in the coffee industry. Together, we’re brewing opportunities, from volunteering and work experience to fundraising through every in-store and catering purchase.
Creating Coffee Careers
Well Grounded is a social enterprise dedicated to supporting people who are out of work to access training, qualifications and employment in the coffee industry.
Through their accredited programmes, Well Grounded provides professional barista training, mentorship, and job placements – helping people gain confidence, skills and long-term careers in coffee.
Coco Cares
Over the next two years, we’ll be working closely with Well Grounded to make a meaningful impact:
- Team volunteering: Our central team is helping Well Grounded’s recruits prepare for job interviews, offering CV feedback and mock interview support.
- Work experience: We’re giving recruits hands-on experience in our Coco di Mama stores to help bridge the gap between training and employment.
- Store donations: We give customers the option to add a 10p donation at our self-order kiosks.
- Christmas donations: We’ll be donating 10p from festive in-store purchases and £1 from festive catering orders to support Well Grounded’s mission.
Together, we’re helping to create opportunities that last – one cup, one career, one community at a time.
