We’re proud to be in a two-year partnership with Well Grounded, a social enterprise supporting the UK’s
unemployed with the skills to access sustainable careers in the coffee industry. Together, we’re brewing opportunities, from volunteering and work experience to fundraising through every in-store and catering purchase.
Transforming lives through coffee
Well Grounded is a social enterprise dedicated to supporting people who are out of work to access training, qualifications and employment in the coffee industry.
Through their accredited programmes, Well Grounded provides professional barista training, mentorship, and job placements – helping people gain confidence, skills and long-term careers in coffee.
Coco Cares
Over the next two years, we’ll be working closely with Well Grounded to make a meaningful impact:
- Team volunteering: Our central team is helping Well Grounded’s trainees prepare for job interviews, offering CV surgeries and mock interview support.
- Work experience: We’re giving trainees hands-on experience in our Coco di Mama stores to help connect academy training to employment opportunities.
- Store donations: Coco di Mama donates 10p to Well Grounded from a selection of our specialty coffees in-store, and 10p from our Christmas menu items. We also offer an extra optional 20p donation at the end of every customer order.
- Christmas donations: We’ll be donating 10p from festive in-store purchases and £1 from festive catering orders to support Well Grounded’s mission.
Together, we’re helping to create opportunities that last – one cup, one career, one community at a time.
